ABOUT ME

Created by a mom who gets it.

Before I had my own neurodivergent kids, I worked as a Recreational Therapist with teen girls in behavioral health, geriatric adults with developmental disabilities, and children in a psychiatric rehabilitation treatment facility. I spent years helping individuals build skills, routines, and independence. Then I became a mom. When my own children were diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, sensory differences, and severe food allergies, I quickly realized that many of the strategies I had used professionally didn't fit my family's reality. My kids didn't need generic charts. They needed supports that matched them.So I started creating my own visual supports, games, checklists, and routines—customized to each child, their interests, their strengths, and their challenges. Just as importantly, those tools had to work for me as a parent. They needed to be practical, sustainable, and easy to use in real life.Over time, those custom supports helped my children build confidence, independence, and daily living skills while making life a little easier for our whole family. That's why I created Made For My Kid.Because parenting is hard enough. Sometimes the right visual can make all the difference. My goal is simple: to help families like mine make life easier, one visual at a time.

TESTIMONIAL

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Before I could even finish explaining the chart, my six year old grandson was picking up his toys because he wanted his penguin points! I was hoping the charts would work, but was amazed at how fast and excited the children were."
-Cheri

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"It's a very strange but wonderful feeling to not feel DEPLETED after 'bath day' in our house."-Michelle

It Started With Tears...

After my AuDHD son had a difficult experience in the shower, bathing became overwhelming. It was a meltdown, every single time.Till he had an incentive to shower, a way to get his mind away from the soap and engaged in a task.

The Goal

Get the muddy knight back to the castle to claim his Medal of Valor from the King. The incentive-him helping the knight get his Medal, the focus then turns to the checklist. "Okay mom, what do I have to do next?""What does your checklist say?""Get body wet""Great Job buddy"I created this Interactive Story using my background in Recreational Therapy to help him regain confidence, make it simple for his brain, and prove to himself he could do it. And he did!

Imagine If Shower Time Looked Like This Instead...

✔ Your child knows what comes next.✔ Fewer reminders from you.✔ Less frustration.✔ More independence.✔ More confidence.✔ One less thing you have to carry every day.Because teaching independence shouldn't cost your relationship.

Why Parents Love It

Because it saves more than time.It saves energy. It saves patience. It saves one more argument at the end of a long day.And little by little...It helps your child believe they can do things on their own.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"The checklist is absolutely amazing—for me and for them."
-Bore Family

Why This Kit Works

Many neurodivergent children don't struggle because they're unwilling. They struggle because remembering multiple steps, sequencing tasks, or managing sensory experiences can be overwhelming.Visual supports reduce the mental load.Instead of holding every step in their head...They simply follow the next picture. That's why visual supports are used in homes, schools, and therapy settings every day.

Hear From Other Parents

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"I have never seen my son so clean in my entire life!! He LOVED checking off the list, the bath crayon was genius!"
-Amberlin

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Both boys have always hated getting their hair washed. At one point my autistic son would literally cream bloody murder and acted like a cat trying to claw his way out of the tub. We worked with our OT for over a year trying different strategies to make this better for everyone. This story and checklist combo is what made the difference.
